Watch "Faces of Homelessness in Central Oregon"

Mission

The mission of Project Connect is to rally our region to support and create lasting solutions for those experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness here in Central Oregon. Project Connect is a component of a Regional 10 year Strategy to End Homelessness.

Project Connect (PC), based on a national best practice model, Project Homeless Connect, originated in San Francisco in October 2004. Today, PC is emulated in 170 cities across the United States as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and Australia. Once a year over 700 community volunteers partner with city government, non-profits and the private sector to provide a one-stop shop of health and human services for struggling Central Oregonians.

Click here for a complete list of services at this year's event. As of October 2008, 1,100 volunteers have provided services to 3,038 homeless and poor Central Oregonians. Over 600 of those attending were children and 80% were working families.
