Keep Out The Cold

Girl Scout Gold Award Project
Cold Weather Clothing Drive

Benefiting those in Central Oregon who are poor or homeless.

The clothing collected through this project will be distributed at the Project Connect Event in Redmond on Sept 19th. Project Connect is an annual one day event that brings together many different organizations to provide care and compassion to those who are poor or experiencing homelessness in Central Oregon. The goal of this drive is to collect enough winter clothing for 2,600 children, teens, and adults.

Donations Needed!

We are currently asking for the following items: All sizes, including children’s are needed. Please donate only those things that are new, in good, or like new condition.

  • Coats (wind coats, wool, down, ski jackets, etc.)
  • Sweatpants
  • Long underwear
  • Snow pants or water-proof pants
  • Wool socks or any other type of warm winter socks
  • Boots (hiking boots, rain boots, snow boots)
  • Other Practical Shoes (closed-toed shoes such as tennis shoes)
  • Warm Blankets (wool, thick cotton etc.)
  • Sleeping Bags
  • Warm winter hats, gloves, and scarves
  • Backpacks
